Cold Chain Management

Vaccine Storage and Handling

Vaccines are fragile. They must be maintained at the temperatures recommended by vaccine manufacturers and protected from light at every link in the cold chain. Vaccines must be stored properly from the time they are manufactured until they are administered. Proper maintenance of vaccines during transport is known as the cold chain. A proper cold chain is a temperature-controlled supply chain that includes all equipment and procedures used in the transport and storage and handling of vaccines. To ensure the proper functioning of cold-chain we follow the following steps

Cold Room

Vaccines are sensitive biological products that are stored in cold chambers within WHO-recommended temperature range to assure quality. Vaccines exposed to temperature outside the recommended range can have reduced potency and protection.

Contingency plan for dealing with power cuts.

The recommended temperature to store vaccine is 2-8 degree Celsius and is facilitated 24 hours backups.

Transport

Vaccines are special kind of drug, the quality of which is highly sensitive to temperature and directly related to health. DHL provides a fully AC transit as cold chain is an exogenous variable that import product quality.

We use reefer vehicles to transport our products. These vehicles are specially designed for transportation of temperature sensitive products.

  • 24X7 Visibility
End -to-end tracking with 24/7 real visibility of our consignments.
  • Fastest transit time
Spends less time on road and reach our customers faster.
  • Backup power provided in case of emergencies.
The refer units are self-powered, so temperature compliance is ensured in case of breakdown.

USB Temperature Data-loggers

Data loggers play a very important role in monitoring and recording the temperature of vaccine during transportation for safe-guarding patients and vaccines potency.
